Monster Stories

I like the monster stories because you get to pick a monster and draw and color it. They are fun to me because I like to color and write stories. This is an activity that my teacher did when she was are age. She still has her pictures but not her story. I am injoying doing this so far.

Matter

So far my favorite subject was matter! We got to do tons of experiments! We also watched a movie. The balloon and bottle experiment. We put some powder in a balloon and put it on a bottle full of the "secret ingredent" and a special gas filled the balloon! Matter was super fun!

My Family Trip to St. George

My Dads side of the family and my family dicided to go to St.George for a family trip. So we rented a house with a swimming pool, of course, and then it was time to get there. When we got there we unpacked, Then all of the moms went shopping while the dads watched the kids. Then they rotated and the dads went golfing while the moms watched the kids. But the only thing they had to watch us do was swim in the pool (that was my favorite part). Then all of the other families went to a fair and my family went hiking. We had a great time there and hope to go again soon.

Kicking and Germs

My favorite subject in school is P.E.. I enjoy P.E. because of all of the fun games. Some of the fun games include California Kickball and the Germ Game. California Kickball is fun because I can kick hard and run fast. The Germ game is fun because it is a team game unlike a lot of other games.

Y.A.A. Awards

An Y.A.A. award is a meddle necklace that we get for getting are Preamble passed off and stuff like that. It is fun because we get to learn all of the peoms that a lot of people know that we don't. We have these books that are called are Y.A.A. award books and the poems that we have to pass off are in there. Y.A.A. stands for Young American Award.

Roanoke

The English sailed to an island near Roanoke with John Smith. They got in a fight with indians. The English started to run out of supplies. John Smith went back. He said "He'll be back in 2-3 months". Since england was in a war it took 2-3 years. When he got back nobody was there. Only clues were on a post it said "roanoke" and on a tree it said "cro".

What I like about school

I can't believe how fun fifth grade is. Well the other grades were fun but this year is different I feel like i'm one step closer to middle school. I am also liking how fun C.R.A.S.H. is,it makes me feel like school does not exist. Speaking of school our teacher is awesome. The home work is so easy because our teacher takes us through it slowly. Those are some of the things I like about fifth grade.

CRASH Games

CRASH is the funnest thing in fifth grade. CRASH stands for Creative Recreational Academic Super Hour (actually 45 minutes). It is on Fridays. CRASH is when all the teachers in the fifth grade plan activities for students. Students get to choose an activity to go to, but you can only go if you have all of your work turned in. Normally there are four or five activities to choose from. If you don't have all your work done, you go to Study Hall to finish it. You can also go to Study Hall to read or color if you want. There are usually sports, music, and art activities. We enjoy going to CRASH because we get exercise and we have fun. Another reason why CRASH is fun is because there is no homework. We can't wait for Fridays!
